Coenzyme Q10

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is the ‘ignition source’ which efficiently converts the energy our body derives from the food we eat. It is also vitally important as an antioxidant for free radical scavenging.

Although our body produces CoQ10 naturally, the process is complex and requires the right essential ingredients in sufficient quantity to ensure we have enough CoQ10 to create that ‘vital spark’. Unfortunately stress, aging, some drugs, deficiencies in diet, and other lifestyle factors all conspire to reduce the level our body produces.

CoQ10 is available commercially. However, as well as being derived synthetically from tobacco by-products, it is also fat soluble. So, not only undesirable in terms of the manufacturing source, the product is insoluble in water, and has limited bio-availability.
